1. Parties and Agreement
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") form a legally binding agreement between The Driving Instructors ("we", "us", "the Platform") and any student ("you") who makes a booking or uses the services available at thedrivinginstructors.com.
By completing payment for a booking you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms in full.
2. What Your Booking Covers
When you pay through the Platform you are purchasing an introductory booking of two hours of driving tuition at your chosen instructor's stated hourly rate.
Your payment is held securely by the Platform. Once your instructor has accepted the booking and delivered the lesson, funds are released to the instructor within 7 days.
Your booking confirmation will include a unique booking reference number. Please keep this safe — you will need it if you contact us.
3. Our Role — Introduction Only
The Driving Instructors acts solely as an introduction platform. We connect learner drivers with approved, vetted driving instructors.
Once your initial two-hour booking has been delivered and verified, our role as intermediary ends. Any further lessons you arrange directly with your instructor are a private arrangement between you and that instructor. The Platform is not a party to, and accepts no responsibility for, any lessons, payments, or agreements made outside of the Platform.
We are not your instructor's employer, agent, or guarantor. We do not supervise the delivery of lessons beyond the initial booking.
4. Future Lessons After Your Initial Booking
After your first booking is complete, your instructor will contact you to discuss ongoing lessons. Pricing, scheduling, and payment for all future lessons are agreed directly between you and your instructor.
The Platform has no involvement in, and accepts no liability for, the terms, quality, or delivery of any lessons arranged outside of a Platform booking.
If you are unhappy with your instructor at any stage, you are not obligated to continue with them.
5. Changing Your Instructor
If at any point you wish to change your driving instructor — whether after your initial booking or at any later stage — you can request a reallocation through the Platform.
To request a change, contact us using your booking reference number or application number. We will do our best to match you with a suitable alternative instructor in your area.
Reallocation requests are handled by our admin team and are subject to instructor availability. We cannot guarantee an immediate match but will work to find you a suitable instructor as quickly as possible.
There is no charge to request a reallocation.
6. Contacting Us
Our admin team is available to help with booking queries, reallocation requests, and complaints.
Operating hours: Monday to Saturday, 9:00am to 7:00pm.
When contacting us, please have your booking reference number or application number ready. This allows us to locate your record quickly and resolve your query without delay.

7. Cancellations and Refunds
If your instructor declines your booking, you will receive a full refund of your payment. Refunds are processed within 5–10 business days depending on your bank or card provider.
If you wish to cancel your booking before it has been accepted by an instructor, please contact us as soon as possible using your booking reference number.
Once a booking has been accepted by an instructor and the lesson has been delivered, no refund is available for that booking.
If you have a dispute about whether a lesson was delivered, please contact us within 48 hours of the scheduled lesson date with your booking reference number.
8. Your Conduct
You agree to treat your driving instructor with respect and professionalism at all times.
You must hold a valid provisional driving licence for the category of vehicle in which you are taking lessons.
You must not attend a lesson under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or any substance that may impair your ability to drive safely.
Any abusive, threatening, or discriminatory behaviour toward an instructor will result in your booking being cancelled without refund and your account being suspended.
9. Limitation of Liability
The Platform's liability is limited to the value of the booking payment you made through the Platform. We are not liable for any loss, injury, damage, or consequential loss arising from lessons delivered by an instructor.
We do not guarantee that you will pass your driving test as a result of lessons arranged through the Platform.
Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
10. Your Personal Data
We collect and process your personal data (name, contact details, address) in order to facilitate your booking and match you with a suitable instructor.
Your contact details will be shared with your allocated instructor solely for the purpose of delivering your booked lesson.
We handle your data in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. Our full Privacy Policy is available at thedrivinginstructors.com/privacy.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
